That's right! We're gearing up to hit the road in 2008 for follow-up and all-new interviews as we roll through this historic election year (and beyond)!
Started after the disastrous (at least in my opinion) 2004 election, in 2008/09 we'll be traveling across the country (by "we", I mean me, my wife, our 2 year old daughter and our crew) to find out just what's changed since we started asking people about what this country means to them nearly 4 years ago.
In 2008, we're digging even deeper, letting no one off with easy answers. The ultimate question is "Why?" Why do people believe as they do? Where do those political beliefs originate? Is any critical thought given to them, or is everyone just shooting from the hip? That's why we're making the film...to get people to think --- really, truly, and deeply --- about the beliefs they hold dear, their origins, and their importance and validity in the war for the soul of a nation.
We intend to film from the fall of 2008 through 2009, to take the country's pulse before, during, and in the aftermath of this election year. Will we end up with something inspirational or are we making a horror film?
